Bio: Funeral for Lizzie Phares Skipworth, 89, of Denison, who died Oct. 16, 1994, at Texoma Medical Center, will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Bratcher Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Bob Cantrell will officiate. Burial will be in Cedarlawn Memorial Park.
Mrs. Skipworth was born June 10, 1905, in Grayson County, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. L.P. Morrow. She married Carl Phares Dec. 24, 1922, at Sherman. He died in November 1957. She married Paschal Skipworth Oct. 7, 1975. She was a co-owner of Phares Auto Salvage for many years in Denison and was a member of Epting Memorial Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Tom Phares of Denison; a daughter Betty Watkins of Pagosa Springs, Colo.; a sister, Dorothy Coen of Garden City, Kan.; nine grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 15 great-great-granchildren.
Pallbearer's will be Sam Phares, Mark Martin, Raymond Dillon, Carl Phares, Raymond Jordan and Jim Watkins.
The family will be at the funeral home from 7 until 8 p.m. Tuesday.
