Mrs. Hicks, 74, was born at Wallula, Washington. Her mother passed away when she was 6 months old and she was raised by her Grandparents who moved to Cunningham, Washington where she spent her early years and received her education.
On December 16, 1920, she and Callie T. Hicks were married at Cunningham, Washington. Together they lived there for two years before moving to Benton City and in 1927 moved to Waitsburg, WA., where they lived until 1945 when they moved to Grandview. Later they moved to Sunnyside where they have continued to make their home. Mr. Hicks was employed as a Section Foreman for the Union Pacific Railroad for almost 50 years.
