Herbert Keith Mason, our loving father and grandfather, passed away on October 25, 2011.

He was born September 27, 1932 in Blackfoot Idaho to Florence Hinkley Hoops and Herbert Spencer Mason.

He married Marcia Allen on August 27, 1958 in the Idaho Falls Temple.

He was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He served two missions, one in Uruguay and later with his sweetheart in the Cochabamba Bolivian Temple.

He served in the United States Air Force, where he was a champion boxer and a contender for the 1952 Olympics, but retired instead, to serve his LDS mission.

He is survived by his son, Allen (Kathy; daughters, Shelly Mason and Jolynn Winn (John); sister, Yerda Payne; ten grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, sister, Pat Lee; and brother, Jay Mason.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Granite Sixth Ward Chapel, 9245 South Quail Run (2300 East). A viewing will be held on Friday October 28, 2011 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and Saturday morning from 9:30-10:45 a.m. at the same location.
Interment will be held in the Provo City Cemetery at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
