Completed her earthly existence in Draper, Utah of lung cancer. Born in Preston, Idaho. Daughter of Herbert and Florence Masson. Married John F. Lee September 15, 1950 in Arlington, Virginia. Marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Graduated from Idaho Falls High School, Class of 1947. Attended Brigham Young University, where she was a class officer, a Cesta Tie, the Cougarette leader and a member of the Alumni Board. Attended San Francisco State University and Rutgers where she graduated with high honors in 1984. Served as an aide to Sen. Henry Dworshak (R-ID) while husband attended school in Washington, D.C. Served many responsible callings in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Traveled the world extensively. Lived at Whalers Cove on the south coast of Kauai. Avid art collector. Her own artistic art ability was admired. Excelled at handiwork, especially needlepoint and quilting. Read prodigiously, skied, played tennis and platform tennis. Liked acrostics, chess and bridge. A friend unintentionally pronounced her epitaph. He said, "When Pat enters a room, she's the prettiest girl there." She walked with grace and beauty throughout her life. Survived by husband, children: Randall (Corey), Laurelei Lindsay (Sean), Franklin (Jennifer); five grandchildren, two brothers: Keith and Jay Mason and sister Yerda Payne.
