Helen Ruby Taylor Vickers, age 87, of Nicholls passed away September 16, 2023 at Coffee Regional Medical Center after a short illness. She was born December 16, 1935 in Bacon County but had lived in Nicholls since 1952. She was daughter of the late Levy Albritton and Ada Bell Swain Albritton and proceeded in death by her husbands Jimmy Wendell Taylor and Bernan "Vick" Vickers; two brothers, Eugene Albritton and James Albritton, sister, Aline Hyers and brother-in-law, E. D. Turner.

Mrs. Vickers was a member of Nicholls Church of God of Prophecy.

Survivors include her son, Jimmy Darrell Taylor (Lana) of Nicholls; two-step daughters, Haley Stevens of Ambrose and Summer Hersey of Nicholls and three sisters, Pauline Turner of Alma, Lillie A. Crews of Orlando and Marilyn Lee of Augusta and sister-in-law, Nadine Bullock (Raymond) of Nicholls.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at 11:00 AM at the Nicholls Church of God of Prophecy with Pastor Tommy James and eulogy given by Dollie Lee. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 6 to 9 PM.

Active pallbearers will be; Ken Worth, Brian Hess, Ronnie Kirkland, Stacey Kirkland, David Taylor and Arnold Boatright. All others in attendance will be considered honorary escorts.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
