Mary Lofland was the daughter of H.H. Lofland and Drusilla Elnora (Gullett) Lofland.
She grew up at the old Horatio T. Lofland farm, on Elk Fork Creek, not far from the Todd, Logan, and Robertson County (TN) line.
She married William Dearwood 'Devard' Banton on 13 Dec 1894 at Robertson Co., TN. They lived out the majority of their lives at her family home in Todd County.
