Note: Manerva's parents were Thomas Jefferson Shockley Sr. and Elizabeth David. Manerva married Joseph Henry Barbarick 22 Feb. 1849 in Gasconade County. She was the mother of 7 known children and died three days after giving birth to her last child, a daughter, Manerva Jane Jr.
