Bessie Virginia Nelson, 90, of Dorcas, died May 10, at the Grant County Nursing Home in Petersburg.
Born April 17, 1916 in Smoke Hole, she was the daughter of the late Abraham Nelson and Amanda (Shirk) Nelson. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Bertha Stonaker and Janie Ours; and four brothers, Ray, Jesse, Jasper and Ross Nelson.
She is survived by one brother, John Nelson of Fort Ashby; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were May 13, at the Schaeffer Funeral Home chapel, Petersburg,. Interment was at the Sites Cemetery, Dorcas.
