Mrs. Janie Elizabeth Ours, 90, of Dorcas, died July 3, at Grant Memorial Hospital, Petersburg.
Born March 11, 1913, in Smoke Hole, she was the daughter of the late Abraham L. Nelson and Amanda (Shirk) Nelson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Evers T. Ours Sr., Sept. 21, 1972.
She is survived by two sons, Evers T. Ours Jr. and Wayne Ours, both of Dorcas; three daughters, Leda Judy of Moorefield, Darlene Berg of Maysville, and Bonnie L. Moyers of Dorcas; one sister, Bessie V. Nelson of Petersburg; one brother, John M. Nelson of Fort Ashby; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were July 6, at the Schaeffer Funeral Home chapel, Petersburg, with interment in the Lahmansville Cemetery, Lahmansville.
