Elizabeth Funk Rumbarger was a daughter of Martin Funk, born 1761, and Barbara Ednire Funk, born 1762. Elizabeth was born in Maryland, April 18 1789, ten days before the Inauguration of George Washington as President of the United States for his first term. She married Jacob Rumbarger at the age of 17 years in 1806. She and Jacob had fifteen children, twelve of whom reached maturity.
