Sarah was divorced from Winfred Davis. They had a daughter Mary E., who died May 28, 1899 only 10 months after her marriage to George W. McFarlane.
Sarah was a housekeeper for Daniel MacFarlane after his first wife died. On December 17, 1890, she was married to Daniel McFarlane, at Darlington, Wis. She has resided in this section of the state all of her lifetime, and for the last ten years has been a resident of Cuba City, after living in Elk Grove. Her church connections were of the Primitive Methodist denomination. she had been sick, more or less, for the last ten years of her life. But during this entire time she bore up bravely with her sufferings and with true christian fortitude.
The funeral services were held with a short service at the home, followed by services at the M.E. church, Rev. E.L. Cooper, the resident pastor, presiding. Interment was made at Mt. Pleasant cemetery. The pall bearers were Chas. Eustice, Samuel Whaley, Geo. Gill, Jos. J. Honser, Michael Conlon and Wm. Robson.
The surviving relatives are the husband, Daniel McFarlane; a son, George; a daughter, Addie; her father, James Pedley , of Cobb, Wis.; two brothers, James and John, of Artesian, S.D. and Mifflin, Wis., respectively; six sisters, Mrs Elizabeth Fawcette, Gravity, Iowa, Miss Mary A. Pedley, Cobb, Wis., Mrs. Addie Raine, Mifflin, Wis., Mrs. Amanda Gard, Granville, N.D., Mrs Ruth Drury, Cobb, Wis., and Mrs Thomas McKorman, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; also two stepdaughters, Mrs. Jennie Sands of Charles City, Iowa, and Miss Myrtle McFarlane, of Dubuque, Iowa.
