Daniel (McFarlane) MacFarlane was born at Elk Grove, Wis., April 15th, 1855, and died at Rochester, Minn., Jan. 24, 1922, aged 66 years, 9 months and 9 days.
He was married to Margaret Ann Moody at Elk Grove on Feb. 22 1882, she died Nov. 10, 1889. To this union were born four children--Mrs. Jennie Mae (Wm. Orville) Sands of Cuba City, Wis. Mrs. Myrtle (Ralph) Lambert, of Minneapolis, Minn., and two children, Charles D. and Sarah E. who died in infancy.
He was married to Sarah Maria Pedley in Darlington on Dec. 17, 1890. She died in Cuba City, Wis., May 18th, 1911.
To this union were born two children--George of Hazel Green, Wis. and Addie, who died in Mar. 12, 1913.
He leaves to mourn his pass three children, four grandchildren, and three brothers--John of Rockford, Ill., Chas. of Cuba City, WI., and George of East Dubuque, Ill
He was a kind husband and father and possessed a cheerful disposition and was loved by all who knew him.
He had been ailing for some time and went to Rochester, Minn. for medical examination, Jan. 18th 1922. But he was so poorly that all that medical aid and loving hands could do were of no avail for his recovery. God saw fit to call him home.
The funeral services were held at the M. M. Church, Rev. H. Evans officiating. Interment was made at Mt. Pleasant cemetery.

"Mr. Daniel McFarlane, of Meeker's Grove, and Miss Sara M. Pedley, of Mifflin were married at Darlington, Wednesday, December 17, by Rev. C.E. Booth, pastor of the M.E. church. Mr. and Mrs. McFarlane did not take the customary wedding trip but went directly to their home in Meeker's Grove, where a jolly crowd was in waiting for them. The evening was spent in games, festivities and dancing, when, after wishing the bride and groom many years of happiness in their new relation the guests departed for their homes."
