The last sad rites for Jacob Klein, 82, were held Wednesday in the chapel at the Smith Funeral Home with Father Kemper officiating. Interment was in the Garden of Memories.
Mr. Klein was a native of Gillespie County and had lived in Kerrville for about 25 years. He was a retired carpenter, and for the last several years had been unable to work, due to failing health.
He is survived by seven children, Walter J., A. C., Louis and Elmer Klein and Mrs. Dick Flach of Kerrville; Edgar C. Klein of Fredericksburg and Mrs. Ralph Stockard of Inglewood, California. One brother, George Klein of Fredericksburg; four sisters, Mrs. Charlotte Land , and Mrs. Otto Goehmann of Fredericksburg; Mrs. Riley Helfer of San Antonio and Mrs. Otto Stein, Bandera; 21 grandchildren and four great grandchildren also survive.
Grandsons who acted as pallbearers were Andrew and Bobby Keller, Kenneth and Charles Klein and Morgan and Allen Bates.
