FUNERAL SERVICES HELD FOR FORMER RESIDENT
Funeral services were held Saturday, May 13 at the Yampa Bible church for Ulysses Grant Bird, an old time resident of this area. Mr. Bird was born in Missouri and died in Glenwood Springs May 11, at the age of 94. He was preceded in death by his wife who died in 1931. He is survived by two sons and two daughters, William A. Bird of Denver, Carl Bird of New Castle, Stella Busch of Syracuse, N. Y., Ellen Bellm of Gilman, five grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. Mr Ulysses Bird, father of Mrs LeRoy Bellm of Gilman passed away Thursday in a Glenwood Springs nursing home at the age of 94. His funeral was Saturday morning at New Castle and Interment that afternoon In Yampa.
