Fairbury – The funeral of H. Oliver Light, 68, who died Saturday (September 29, 1979), will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury, the Rev. Al Nelson officiating.  Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 tonight and the memorial home.

Mr. Light was born September 18, 1911, in Camden County, Missouri, a son of Henry and Bertha Hornbeck Light.  He married Sarah Daisy Dorothy Henderson March 2, 1938, in McPherson, Kansas.  She died January 22, 1970.

Surviving are three daughters: Rosilla Taylor, Glenna Harris and Faye Short, all of Fairbury; one sister, Velva Hubbard of Decatur; 13 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, a sister and a grandchild.

Mr. Light attended Nazarene and Baptist churches of Fairbury and resided in the Fairbury area 66 years.

He worked 20 years for the Toledo, Peoria and Western Railroad before retiring.

Memorial may be made to Salem Children’s Home, Flanagan.
