He lived his life as a simple man, farming and providing for his family. He worked long and endless hours in the fields and always shared his harvest with the people he loved, his friends and family. Not only did he lose his parents at a young age, Over the years he endured the loss of 14 Brothers and Sisters, a wife of 69 years, Lorie Collins Anderson, both of his children, Charles Anderson and Ronnie Anderson as well as a Grandchild, Al Anderson.
He will always be remembered in his "Dickies" and a hat with a smile on his face. He went home to be with the Lord and his family at sunrise, his favorite time of the day.
Survivors Include , 2 Daughter in Laws, Lois Anderson of Collins, GA and Gail (Vernon) Rushing of Richmond Hill.
5 Grandchildren, Sherry (Randy) Hendrix, Danny(Peggy) Anderson, Keith (Joanna) Anderson, Ricky(Tabatha)Anderson, Melanie (Edward) Galbreath.
11 Great Grandchildren, Travis Anderson, Tiffany Galbreath, Harley Hendrix, Chelsea Jenkins, Tara Anderson, Austin Lewis, Jessica Brower, Brittany Thigpen, Heather Hendrix, Tristan Galbreath & Mattie Scarlett Anderson. 1 Great Great Grandchild, Taylor Waldron.
Visitation will begin at 6:00pm on Sunday October 16, 2011 at Bradley B. Anderson Funeral Home Reidsville Chapel. Funeral Services will be conducted 11:00am Monday from the Reidsville Chapel. Interment will follow in the Old Anderson Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Danny Anderson, Ricky Anderson, Keith Anderson, Travis Anderson, Harley Hendrix, Austin Lewis and Tristan Galbreath will be a honorary pallbearer.
