Ruth "Ruthie" LeeMaster
1915 - 2008

Early Life: Ruth "Ruthie" was born January 28, 1915, in Moab, Utah, to Jesse Louis and Sarah Olive Larsen LeeMaster, the seventh of eight children.
Life's Work | Service | Interests: Following graduation from high school, Ruthie went to beauty school. She opened up Ruthie's Beauty Salon in Provo, Utah, where she worked for 55 years until she was no longer able to see well enough to serve her patrons. Her beauty salon was her life. She was a perfectionist who sent her patrons out the door happy with their new hairstyle. She made many friendships during these years and was loved by all. Ruthie was an avid gardener. When she wasn't working, she spent many hours in her garden fussing over her roses and many other kinds of flowers. She knew the names of every rose bush and never forgot where they had been planted. She took a photography class with her sister, Dona, and became an excellent photographer taking many family photos and spending hundreds of dollars duplicating them to give to others. Even though she never married, Ruthie left behind a large family of nieces, nephews and other family members, all of whom adored her. She was always kind and happy, ready to give to others. You never left her home or salon without something to take home, whether it was a bottle of lotion, a can of hairspray or any number of other things. And, of course, there was always a Coke to be enjoyed in her salon where happy hours were spent visiting with her and keeping her company. She provided many good memories for those who loved her. On January 3, 2008, Ruth LeeMaster, a loving sister, aunt and friend, passed away peacefully at the home of her sister, Glennes Nelson, in Orem, Utah. She was 92.
