On December 17 of that year at Gordon, Nebraska she was united in marriage to Arthur W. Ladd. Three children were born to this union. One daughter preceeding her in death in 1920. In 1923 the deceased moved with her family to Boone, Iowa where they resided until 1926. In February of that year the family moved to Clarinda where they have since resided.
Mrs Ladd was a charter member of the reorganized Rebekah Lodge of Gordon, Nebr., transferring her membership to the local lodge. She was a faithful and ever ready worker, always willing to help in any way or to instruct in any of mysteries of the degree. She was a past noble grand and also a past district deputy president. She will be greatly missed in her lodge, home and community.
She was a faithful attendant of the Methodist Episcopal church while in Nebraska, but due to failing health she has not been able to attend while in Clarinda. On Easter Sabbath she gave her heart to the Lord and had since lived in that faith.
She leaves to mourn her loss, her faithful husband, loving daughter Mrs Charles J. Kelley of Tilden, Nebr, and son Beryl of Clarinda, Mrs H.J. Ehrhart, mother of Boone, Iowa, Mr C.L. Ehrhart, brother, of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Harry E. Ehrhart, brother of Grand Rapids, Michigan, and a host of relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held from the Harmon Funeral Home on Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, Rev Roy C. Nelson having charge. Her sister Rebekahs had charge of a short service at the Clarinda cemetery, prior to the interment there. CLARINDA HERALD, Clarinda, Iowa, Apr 23, 1928
