He was born March 1, 1923 in Dillsburg, the son of the late Ira J. and Sadie (Dahlhammer) Albert.
Dale was a retired carpenter, having last worked for Lobar, Inc. He was a member of Harmony Bethel Church of God; South Mountain V.F.W., Post #6771; American Legion Post #26; and a life member of the Fish and Game Assoc. all of Dillsburg. Dale served his country in the U.S. Army during W. W. II.
Dale is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Isabel P. (Schrade) Albert; two sons, Richard E. and his fiance Doris Miller of Dillsburg, Jason A. Albert and his wife Kathy of Dillsburg; one daughter, Sharon A. Hess and her husband James of Dillsburg; two sisters, Ethel Knaub of Mechanicsburg, Blanche Lehmer of Dillsburg; a sister-in-law, Vivian Albert of Dillsburg. He also leaves behind seven grandsons, twelve great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond and Glenn Albert; two sisters, Pauline Hardsock and Miriam Albert; and one daughter-in-law, Linda Albert.
Services will be held Monday, October 17, 2011, at 11:00 a.m., in his church, 1 Clear Springs Rd., Dillsburg. Burial will follow in the Dillsburg Cemetery-Mountain Rd. A viewing will be held Monday, from 10-11 a.m., at the church.
