Pauline I. Baum Hardsock, age 91, of Chambersburg, PA died Wednesday, July 1, 2009. Born August 24, 1917 in York County, PA, she was the daughter of the late Ira Jacob Albert and Sadie Blanche Dahlheimer. In addition to her parents her husband, Samuel Ed Hardsock preceded her in death in 1980. Mrs. Hardsock retired from the dietary department at South Mountain Restoration Center. She was active in the South Mountain Bible Church; she loved traveling; she was a girl scout leader and a member of AARP. Mrs. Hardsock is survived by her children: Judith Ann Lawrence (husband Robert) of Fairfield, PA, James Baum (wife Hope) of Gettysburg, PA and Pennie Helman (husband James) of Chambersburg, PA; nine grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; one brother: Dale Albert (wife Isabel); two sisters: Ethel Knaub and Blanche Lehmer; a sister in law: Viv Albert; as well as Tiger. She was also preceded in death by two brothers: Raymond and Glenn Albert, a sister: Miriam Albert, a son: Glenn "Skip" Baum, and a grandson: Darryl Helman. A memorial service will be held at the South Mountain Bible Church, 11275 South Mountain Road, Fayettville, PA 17222 on Saturday, July 11, 2009 at 11:00 AM, where Pastor David Keener will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at church. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in her name to the above church and address or to the charity of one's choice.
