She was born February 1, 1915, in Powderly, to Johel Brock Coward and Mary Lou Crawford Coward.
She attended school at PeeDee and married Jack Jones December 18, 1984, in Powderly. He died in 1990.
She was a housewife and a Methodist.
She was also preceded in death by her son, Sherman Ralph Sherman in 1955; three sisters and four brothers; and her ex-husband, Sherman Thomas in 1984.
Surviving are a son, grandchildren, a brother, and two sisters.
