PRICE, HOMER, age 88 of Rogersville, TN., departed this life July 19, 1997 at his home.

He was a member and deacon of Grassy Springs Baptist Church. He was also a Mason and a farmer.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Victoria Mary Lawson Price; son, Bascom Danis Price; sisters, Mabel Price and Bobbie Austin.

Survivors include his wife, Mabel Byrd Price of Rogersville, TN.; daughters and sons-in-law, Imogene and Carl Burton of Nashville, Ruby and Dwayne Rogers of Morristown; step-daughter and husband, Pauline and Howard Hurd of Cincinnati, OH.; sons, Joseph E. Price of Medina, IL, and Claude H. Price of Rogersville; step-son, Floyd H. Lawson of Church Hill; sister, Ogal Davis of Kingsport; brothers, C. D. and J. B. Murrell of Kingsport, Offair Murrell of Seattle, WA; 21 grandchildren; 34 greatgrandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; 10 step-grandchildren; 11 step-great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at Grassy Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Jack Free and Rev. Earl Bowlin officiating. Burial in the Price Cemetery with a Masonic graveside service.
