WALLSEND — Rhonda Lee (West) Widner, 58, went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 30, 2009, at the Saint Joseph Hospital in Lexington Ky.

Born April 28, 1950, in Fourmile, she was a life long resident of Bell County. A homemaker, she believed in the Apostolic Pentecostal Faith, and attended the Apostolic Pentecostal Church in Middlesboro

She was the daughter of the late Belvin West and Marie Webb West. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years James Earl Widner; brothers, James B. West and Arnold B. West; father-in-law, Raymond A. Widner; mother-in-law, Thelma M. Widner; sister-in-law, Glenda Simpson; brothers-in-law, Paul Smith and Gary Emery; nephew, Doyle Widner Jr.; niece, Judy Howard.

Survivors include her children James Earl (Julie) Widner Jr. of Newtown, Elizabeth (William) Brock of Newtown, Shannon (Robert Jr.) Churchwell of Wallsend, Terri (Bryce) Simpson of Log Mountain, Tonya (Daniel) Napier of Knox County, Ky., Steven (Savana) West of Wallsend; sisters, Bobbie (Delbert) Jackson of Tinsley, Irene (William) Jones of Fourmile, Brenda Smith of Flatlick, Glenda (Asberry) Brown of Knox County, Ky., and a very special sister who has lived and help take care of her for over 40 years, Kathy West; brothers Randall West of Knox County, Ky., Berlin (Wendy) West of Knox County, Ky., Roger West of Knox County, Ky.; sisters-in-law, Betty Taylor of Bell County, Dora Akersof Bell County, Sue (Marshall) Bain of Newtown, Laura Emery of Cythinia, Ky.; brothers-in-law, Doyle (Phyllis) Widner of Newtown, and Jimmy Simpson of Tennessee; 16 grandchildren, Alisha (John) Jackson, Michael Widner, Allison Widner, Janie Patterson, Zack Churchwell, Samson Churchwell, Ronda Churchwell, Daniel Napier, Nathaniel Napier, Breanna Napier, Nickolas Napier, Lawrence Simpson, Jennifer Simpson, Destiny Hopkins, Kaley West, Nevaeh West; one great-grandchild, Johnathan Jackson; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 1, at Creech-Durham Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Bush and the Rev. Colson Keith officiating.

Burial will follow in the Greg Chapel Cemetery at Rockhold, Ky. Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday at Creech-Durham Funeral Home, Pineville, which is in charge of arrangements.
