Wilder Dumont Rinehart, 69, of Waveland, died Sunday morning at Culver Hospital after an illness of one month's duration. He submitted to an operation last week and his death was attributed to complications. Mr. Rinehart was born in Clinton County, Oct. 18, 1867, a son of Samuel and Nancy Rinehart. He married Laura Irwin, Oct. 28, 1888, near Lebanon. A resident of Waveland for the past thirty-five years, Mr. Rinehart was an active member of the Methodist church of that city, and also belonged to the Masonic order. At the time of his death he was a chaplain of the latter organization. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers, having served as an engineer most of his life, and had recently been awarded a pension from the railroad retirement fund. Surviving are the widow; one daughter, Mrs. Olive Lough, Waveland; one sister, Mrs. Ralph Beasley, Thorntown; two brothers, H. H. Rinehart, Indianapolis and J. W. Rinehart, Rochester; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at the Waveland Methodist church at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon. Masonic services will be given, and burial will be made at Lebanon.
