John W. Mumford, well-known resident of Frederick county, and formerly Judge of the Orphan's Court, died early this morning at his home at Braddock Heights, aged 70 years, 11 months and 19 days.
He is survived by the following children: Rev. Carl Mumford, Ellicott City; Thomas, at home; Stanley and Mrs. Charles Mahoney, near Braddock Heights; William, Anticosti, D. C.; Roy, this city; and Mrs. M. C. Strobel, at home. The following sisters and brothers also survive: Mrs. Samuel Kaufman, Cumberland; Mrs. Venia Haupt, Mt. Tabor; Mrs. Harlan Phleeger, Middletown; Mrs. James Greenwalt, Boonsboro; George Mumford, near Dayton, Ohio; Charles Mumford, Middletown. Nine grandchildren also survive.
Funeral will be held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock, with services at the house.
