Daryl Steiner, 76, Fergus Falls, died Saturday, Nov. 19, 2005, in Pelican Lake Health Care Center, Ashby, Minn.

Mr. Steiner was born Dec. 1, 1928, in Fergus Falls. He grew up near Foxhome, Minn. He attended West Central School of Agricultural, Morris, Minn. On May 15, 1949, he married Beverly Schmidt in Fergus Falls. They lived on the family farm. From 1976 to 2001, they spent winters in Mesa, Ariz. He worked on the family farm until 1998. He entered the care center in 2001.

He is survived by his wife; two sons, Charles (Linda), Foxhome, Daniell (Janice), Casper, Wyo.; a daughter, Shirley (Rick) Draz, Lakeville, Minn.; a brother, Robert, Rothsay, Minn.; a sister, Alda Mae Anderson, Fergus Falls; seven grandchildren, four stepgrandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation: Tonight from 4 to 7, with a prayer service at 7, in Olson Funeral Home, Fergus Falls, and Wednesday from 10 to 11 in Trinity Lutheran Church, Fergus Falls.

Funeral: Wednesday at 11 in the church.

Burial: Trinity-Faith Cemetery, Fergus Falls.

On May 15, 1949, he married Beverly Schmidt at Trinity Lutheran Church of Fergus Falls. The couple made their home on the family farm. He enjoyed traveling and visiting with family and friends. From 1976 until 2001, the couple enjoyed spending their winter months in Mesa, Ariz. He became a resident of the Pelican Lake Health Care Center in Ashby in 2001. He was clerk of Andrea Town Board for many years. He served on the board of Rothsay Farmers Co-op Elevator where he was president. He was also a member of Southern Red River Valley Sugar Beet Corporation, a predecessor to Minn-Dak Farmers Co-op of which he served on its board of directors. He belonged to the Rothsay Lions Club, and was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church, serving as church elder and a council member.

He is survived by his wife; daughter Shirley (Rick) Draz, Lakeville, Minn.; sons, Charles (Linda) Steiner, Foxhome, and Daniell (Janice) Steiner, Casper, Wyo.; grandchildren, Jonathan Draz, Ryan Draz, Dr. Melissa (Dr. Jeff) Hall, Michael Steiner, Matthew (Kjersten) Steiner, Mark Steiner, and Christopher Steiner; step-grandchildren, Melissa Kay Lile, Brian (Brandi) Daniels, Josh (Anna) Daniels, and Charlie Daniels; great-grandchildren, Jacob and Megan Hall and Drew and Luke Steiner; step-great-grandchildren, Amber Voorhies, Jack, Jacob, Jared, Stormie, Kyia, Dahlia Daniels and Cyrel LeBeau; sister Alda Mae Anderson, Fergus Falls; and brother Robert Steiner of Rothsay.

He was preceded in death by his two year old daughter Cynthia Louise who died in 1958; his parents; and an infant brother Calvin.

Memorials are preferred to the Trinity Lutheran Church building fund.

Visitation: Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. with a public prayer service at 7 p.m. at the funeral home; visitation resuming one hour prior to the service at the church
