Robert E. "Bobby" Freeman, 52, died Jan. 18, 2009, at his home, Hutchinson. He was born Dec. 26, 1956, in Hutchinson, the son of Robert Nelson and Dorothy P. Massow Freeman. He graduated from Hutchinson High School. A lifetime resident of Hutchinson, he was a piano installer and did odd jobs always helping others.

Survivors include: his mother, Dorothy P., South Hutchinson; a brother, Marvin G. and wife Ann, Auburn; two sisters, Phyliss R. Patterson and husband John, Topeka, and Marilyn K. Matthews and husband Don, Hutchinson; and nieces and nephews, Mike, Brian, Bobby, Sarah, Scott, and Sharise.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Friday Jan. 23, 2009, at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, Hutchinson, with the Rev. Michael P. Milliken presiding. Friends may sign the register from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at the chapel. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the chapel. Cremation has taken place. Burial will be in Arlington Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to the Hutchinson Animal Shelter, in care of the mortuary.
