Rites for Lafayette Man Held Monday

John W. Mulanax, 67, died at his home in Lafayette Friday. Funeral services were held Monday morning in Macy's chapel with the Rev. Sartwell officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Memorial park.

Mr. Mulanax was born Oct. 7, 1871, in Kansas, the son of John W. and Mary Mulanax. In 1896 he was married to Sarah Ellen Mulanax in Holton, Kan.

He came to Oregon from Kansas in 1912 and is located in Lafayette where he has lived for the past 26 years. He was a member of the Methodist church and the Artisan lodge.

Mr. Mulanax is survived by Mrs. Mulanax; a son, Calvin S. Mulanax, Portland; four daughters, Miss Ruby Mulanax, Lafayette; Mrs. Edith Alexander, McMinnville; Mrs. Gertrude Gibbon, Dundee, and Mrs. Alice Sharf, Portland; one brother, Jake Mulanax, Wyoming; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Helms, Oilton, Okla.; Mrs. Hattie Curtis, Independence, and Mrs. Lucy Hagar, Holton, Kans.
