Onofrio Marino, 79, 1608 Avenue I, Ensley, died Saturday at a local hospital.
He was a longtime resident of Birmingham and a native of Italy. Mr. Marino was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Order of Sons of Italy and Knights of Columbus. He was a retired TCI coal miner.
Rosary will be said Sunday at 8 p.m. from Angwin Mortuary Center Faith Chapel. Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Monday at the funeral home and at 9:30 a.m. at St. Joseph's. The Rev. Larence Dowozzen will officiate, Burial will be in Elmwood.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Mary Lorino, Mrs. Josephine Petix and Mrs. Jennie Miranda of Birmingham; four sons, Sam and Tony Marino of Birmingham, Charlie Marino of New York City and Joseph Marino of Los Angeles; a brother Charlie Marino of Baxter, KY; 18 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
