Russell John Carlson, 83, of St. Petersburg, Florida, formerly of Plano, IL, passed away Sunday, August 17, 2003 in St. Petersburg, FL. He was born on December 15, 1919 in Sandwich, IL, the son of Carl R. and Anna (Lundeen) Carlson.
    Russell was united in marriage to the former Frances Seaton, and they spent many happy years together until her passing on July 30, 1975. Mr. Carlson was employed by Lucas Construction in Plano, IL, as a carpenter, and also did some farming in the Millbrook area.
    He is survived by his children, Vicki Hansen of Largo, FL and David (Kathleen) Carlson of Pottstown, Pennsylvania; his four grandchildren; his three great grandchildren; his brother, Arnold (Kathryn) Carlson of Plano, IL; his three sisters, Ruth Carlson of Plano, IL, Doris (Ralph) Ginger of Sandwich, IL and Emma Victoria Carlson of Plano, IL; as well as several nieces and nephews who will miss him.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Anna; his wife, Frances Carlson; and his four brothers, Herman, Oscar, Arthur and Clarence Carlson.
    Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM on Friday, August 22, 2003 at the Larson-Nelson Funeral Home, 1010 W. South St., Plano, IL. Interment will follow in the Little Rock Township Cemetery, Plano, IL.
    Friends may call from 9 AM until the hour of service on Friday, August 22, 2003 at the Larson-Nelson Funeral Home in Plano.
