Hold Services Thursday For Bernard Sester

Burlington-Funeral services were conducted Thursday morning at the St. Charles Catholic Church, Hampshire, for Bernard Sester, 70, of Burlington, who passed away June 8 at St. Joseph's Hospital, Elgin, where he had been a patient for three weeks. Rev. Father Clement Petit officiated and burial was in the church cemetery.

Mr. Sester was born in Burlington March 4, 1889, the son of Louis and Katharine Studer Sester. He resided in the Burlington area all his life and for the past 43 years was employed by the Burlington Milk Products.

He married Odelia Seyller on April 26, 1911, at the St. Charles Borromeo Church, Hampshire. He was a member of the St. Charles Borromeo Church, the Catholic Order of Foresters at Hampshire and the Modern Woodmen of America Camp 471, Burlington.

Besides his widow, he is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Lynn (Lucille) Fox of Hampshire and Mrs. James (Bernice) Rakowski and Mrs. Earle (Jeannette) Raymond, both of Burlington; two sons, Earl of Genoa and Walter of Hampshire; 13 grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Alice Carlson of Batavia and Mrs. Ann Zirk and Mrs. Mary Thums of Elgin; one brother, Emil of Burlington. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Mrs. Tillie Hartje.
