M. Earl Sester, 92, of Kirkland, died Sunday, October 10, 2004 at Northwoods Care Center in Belvidere. He was born on August 22, 1912 in Burlington, Illinois, the son of Bernard and Odelia (Seyller) Sester. He married Ruth Dickey on February 23, 1957 in Hampshire, Illinois. Earl worked at Automatic Electric in Genoa for many years. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He was a member of the Genoa VFW and St. Catherine Church in Genoa.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth Sester of Kirkland; one son, Michael (Sue) Sester of Kirkland; two grandchildren, Eric and Sarah Sester of Kirkland; two sisters, Jeanette Raymond of Sycamore and Bernice Rakowski of Burlington; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Walter Sester; and a sister, Lucille Fox.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, October 14th at Quiram-Kirkland Funeral Home with The Reverend Fr. Al Neumann officiating. Burial will be in Maple Cemetery in Kirkland. A visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. A memorial fund is established in care of Quiram Funeral Home, P. O. Box 337, 309 S. Fifth St., Kirkland, IL 60146.
