Albert Bethel Bussell, 78, of Algood, Tn and formerly of Clawson, MI, passed away, on Sept. 28, 2011, at Livingston Regional Hospital in Livingston, Tn.
He was born July 28, 1933, in White County, to the late Bethel and Mary Elrod Bussell.
Mr. Bussell and his family were longtime residents of Clawson, MI. He served in the U.S. Army and retired from Chrysler as a toolmaker. He enjoyed playing music with family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of more than 54 years, Floyce Wilson Bussell, whom he married February 20, 1956, in Ringgold, Ga.
He is survived by daughter, Carla and husband Scott Murley; son, Curtis Bussell and wife Lauri; four grandchildren, Jarrett, Riley, Wade and Blake, all of MI; three sisters, Thelma Jean and husband Bill Gambrell, Edna Ruth and husband Edward Baker, and Madelyn Bennett; brother, Jack Bussell and wife Faye; uncle, Roy Elrod and wife Louise, all of Tennessee; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Funeral services was held, on Oct. 2, at 1 p.m., in the Cookeville Chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home with Bro. Bobby Wilhite officiating. Interment with military honors followed in the Carter Cemetery in White County.
The family received friends, on Oct. 1, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., and on Oct. 2, from noon until the time of service at the funeral home.
Family and friends served as pallbearers.
