Dr Marvin C Byrne died at his home in Memphis Sunday morning after a short illness of heart disease.
Dr Byrne practiced dentistry for a number of years in the West, and removed to Memphis where he became connected with the insurance business. Later he became identified with one of the largest silver fox firms in Shelby County.
He was the eldest son of Rev & Mrs G D Byrne of Monterey, and a grandson of "Uncle" Davy Nichols, one of the most prominent citizens of Putnam County.
Besides his wife, Dr Byrne is survived by one brother, Adolphus Byrne of Nashville, and 2 sisters, Mrs Henry B Blue, Smyrna; and Mrs G C Irvine, Monterey.
He was a member of the Methodist church. Funeral services and burial took place at Memphis Tuesday.
