Funeral services were at 3 p.m. Sunday in the 22nd & Austin Church of Christ with Joe Marshall of Abilene, officiating. He was assisted by Gary Dennis, minister of 22nd & Austin. Burial was in the Colorado City Cemetery under the direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.
Born July 22, 1913 In Fort Spunky in Hood County, he was a farmer who had lived in Mitchell County for 61 years. He married Fern Adrian Sept. 19,1936 in the Landers Community. He was a member of the
Llghtfoot Church of Christ in Loraine and a board member of the Sweetwater Production Credit Corp., where he had been chairman of the board for the past 15 years.
He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Juanell of Denver, Colorado; a son, Landus of Colorado City; four sisters, Mrs. E. K. Butts and Mrs. F. O. Langohr, both of San Angelo, Mrs. Ray Richey of Stephenville and Mrs. Bob Couier of Brady; a brother, Estes Finley of Lubbock; and three grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Shorty Baumann, Johnny Baumann, Kent Boyd, Bobby Nobles and Johnny Boyd.
