She was born in Roscoe, Texas on March 24, 1942 to Thomas Lester and Fern Adrian Finley.
Juanell was a very down to earth woman who loved to be independent. She was a stylish woman to her own accord and had a very particular standard in the way that she presented herself that was not influenced by others opinions, as she had her own strong opinions. Those that knew her knew that she was an accomplished pianist and had an amazing alto voice. Early on in life while attending ACC she accompanied the vocal students as the pianist for their vocal program. After school when she married Al Lewis, they worked for Boles Children's Home and took the children on tour, singing up and down both coasts. Later in life she enjoyed playing the piano for seniors in the nursing homes. In her spare time she enjoyed hiking in the mountains of Colorado, enjoying her life, and brightening the lives of her family.
Juanell is survived by her son D. Shane Lewis of Columbia Tennessee, by a brother Landus Finley and wife Diana of Colorado City, by a niece Alyssa Cain and husband Sean of Loraine, by a nephew Michael Finley and wife Kristin of New Caney, and by 8 great nephews.
A funeral service for Juanell will be held on Friday, April 21st at 2pm in the Kiker-Seale Funeral Home Chapel with Foy Forehand of the 22nd and Austin St. Church of Christ officiating. Burial will follow in the Colorado City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Sean Cain, Tate Cain, Cooper Cain, Michael Finley, Daniel Finley, and Riley Finley.
