Mrs. Lane, born in Sampson County, was the daughter of the late David James Burgess and Minnie Wynn Burgess. She was a retired from Mary Gran Nursing Center as a dietary worker.
She is survived by two daughters, Teresa Price and husband Mike of Clinton, Dawn Parker and husband rob of Faison, two sons, Terry Lane and wife Beverly of Turkey, Anthony Lane of Clinton, a sister, Frances Peterson of Clinton, seven grandchildren, Pamela Price, Bailey and Adam Lane, Cane and Weston Parker, and Samantha and Ajay Lane.
The family received friends at 3pm at the funeral home in Clinton.
The funeral services were held at 4pm, Sunday, September 4, 2011 at the Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home in Clinton with the Rev. Ron Bryan officiating.
Burial was made in the Matthis Cemetery, Clinton.
