She was born Sept. 29, 1942, in Thornton, a daughter of Alfred A. Austin, Thornton, and the late Ida Catherine Hargett Austin.
Her husband, William P. Hedrick, survives. Also surviving are three sons, Frederick W.A. Montgomery I, Parkersburg, George Leslie M. Montgomery, Philippi, and Micheal Maximillian Montgomery, Morgantown; one daughter, Amelia LeeAnn Montgomery, Falls Church, Va.; two sisters, Phyllis Ann Bott, Las Vegas, Nev., and Alice Marlene Austin, Morgantown; and three grandchildren, Mykalah Brook Montgomery, Frederick W. A. Montgomery II and Megan Briannne Montgomery.
Mrs. Hedrick was a retired registered nurse and was employed at Preston Memorial Hospital. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church of Grafton.
