Austin, Utah - Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister, Bennith Rae Taylor Oldroyd, age 63, of Austin, died September 26, 2011 in Richfield, Utah, surrounded by her family.

She was born October 24, 1947 in Richfield, a daughter of Gail Lavor and Wanda Rose Lott. She married David Peter Oldroyd April 7, 1965 in Elko, Nevada.

Bennith enjoyed her family, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed doing crafts, inventions- making things better, picnics and camping with her family and friends, playing games and doing puzzles, gardening, mechanics and taking care of and nursing people and being at their service.

Bennith was an active member of the LDS Church. She was able to go thru the Nauvoo Temple with her daughter, an experience she will always cherish.

She is survived by her husband of Austin; children: David A. and Evelyn Oldroyd of Elsinore; Viva R. and Ron Kroeger, Travis R. and Kim Oldroyd, all of Independence, Missouri; Crystal S. Oldroyd of Austin; 17 grandchildren; sisters and brothers: Geraldine (Dick, deceased) Blackburn of Mesa, Arizona; Terrill and Arbon Brown of Sigurd; Rex and Vernis Taylor, Wanda and Billy Syddall, all of West Valley City; Gail and Judy Taylor Jr. of Monroe; Joseph and Mary Taylor of Brigham City; Kathy and Steven Gale of Beaver; Wesley and Michelle Taylor of South Jordan.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gail L. and Wanda R. Taylor; and two sisters: Rosalie Gleave and Gaylene Peterson.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Sevier Valley Hospital, for their tender care to our family in our mother’s last hours, and to the family members that were so gentle, caring and trusting while we prepared for Mom’s funeral. Also, to Springer Turner Funeral Home for helping at this time, to be as sacred as it should be without contention and allowing peace to flow, and any others who may of helped in any way. And finally a special thanks to Evelyn Oldroyd, who daily sacrificed for Mom and her well being. No greater daughter-in-law could be found.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 1, 2011 at 12 Noon in the Monroe 4th LDS Ward Chapel, 49 East 200 North in Monroe.
