Gaylene Taylor Peterson 1942 ~ 2006 Gaylene Taylor Peterson passed away peacefully surrounded by the love and comfort of her family Sunday, September 10, 2006. Gaylene was born October 2, 1942 in Ely, Nevada to Gail Lavor and Wanda Rose Taylor. She was married to her sweetheart, Derrell R. Peterson November 25, 1960. They were sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple June 30, 1971. They created a beautiful family, five children (four married spouses), and 10 grandchildren. They have been especially blessed by her great devotion as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Gaylene possessed a great desire to serve her family and loved ones. She was an especially devoted moth-er and grandmother, as her family was her greatest priority and treasure. She holds a special place in the hearts of all her loved ones. One of her greatest gifts was her ability to make each person feel important and loved. She was a faithful daughter of God who served the Lord in many capacities. Her tremendous faith was an inspiration to those who knew her. Gaylene is survived by her children, three sons and two daughters, Robin (Lynn) Graham, Michael (Julie) Peterson, Shawn (Jennifer) Peterson, Rachel (Brent) Biesinger, and Samuel Peterson; 10 grandchildren, Dustin Graham, Derrell Peterson, Janelle Peterson, Alex Peterson, Shelby Peterson, Mitchell Peterson, Jacob Graham, Hayden Graham, Gabriel Peterson, and Evie Graham; nine brothers and sisters, Geraldine Blackburn, Terrill (Arbon) Brown, Rex (Vernis) Taylor, Bennith (David) Oldroyd, Wanda (Billy) Syddall, Gail (Judy) Taylor, Joe (Mary) Taylor, Kathy (Steve) Gale, Wes (Michelle) Taylor; dear friend and sister-in-law, Norma (Elmer) Winn; numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents; loving spouse; and sister, Rosalie Gleave. Funeral services will be held Wed-nesday, September 13, 2006, 12 noon at the Colony Ward building, 4800 W. 4251 S, West Valley City, Utah. Friends and family may call Tuesday, September 12, 2006 from 6-8 p.m. at the Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 W. 4100 S, West Valley City, UT. and one hour before services begin. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park, adjacent to the mortuary. We will love you forever, we will like you for always, forever and ever our mommy you'll be.
