San Francisco Alcalde (Mayor). A native of Mexico, Don Francisco do Haro was chosen to serve as the first Alcalde, or Chief Administrator, of San Francisco while under Mexican rule serving in 1834. He would also return to serve in this position from 1838 to 1839.
