Funeral services for Gerrit Beltman, 70, of Alton, were Monday in the Alton Reformed Church. Rev. Clarence Greving officiated, and burial was in the Nassau Township Cemetery.

Mr. Beltman died Sunday of a heart attack. Born July 18, 1897 near Orange City, Mr. Beltman married Mildred Ruisch November 29, 1923 in Alton. He farmed near Orange City for five years and then moved south of Alton until he retired in 1965.

Survivors include the widow; three daughters, Mrs. Ray (Frances) De Jong of Alton, Mrs. Bert (Arlene) Gesink of Orange City, and Miss Myrna Beltman of Los Angeles; one son, Orville of Orange City; three sisters, Mrs. Anthony Schuller of Alton, Mrs. Arie Lucas of Sheldon, and Mrs. John Rexwinkel of Orange City; three brothers, Dr. Henry Beltman of Los Angeles, John of Muscatine, and William of Orange City and five grandchildren.

A sister, Mrs. Ben Te Grotenhuis, and an infant sisters preceded him in death.

Pallbearers were Mr. Beltman's nephews: Emerson Lucas, Henry Schuller, Joseph Rexwinkel, Henry Rexwinkel, Norman Beltman and Dennis Beltman. Special music was furnished by Mrs. Harvey Hofmeyer, accompanied by Mrs. Ray Wierda, organist.
