Mrs. Ben Te Grotenhuis died in Grossman Hospital, August 14 at 11 p.m. of the effects of two strokes suffered August 8. She had been in her usual good health and had made plans to meet her daughter, Audrey, downtown in the afternoon. A short while after her daughter left for work she suffered the strokes and died six days later.

Mrs. Te Grotenhuis, nee Fannie Beltman, was born September 22, 1895 on the farm south of town. She was married to Ben Te Grotenhuis on December 27, 1917. They moved to Newkirk and two years ago came to Orange City. Her husband survives her with their children. Mrs. Cornie Wilkins of Archer, Mrs. A.J. Van Zee of Sheldon, and Audrey at hom. There are also four grandchildren. Other survivors include her father, John Beltman of Alton and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Anthony Schuller of Alton, Mrs. Arie Lucas of Hadley, Minn., Rev. Henry Beltman of Los Angeles, Calif., Gerrit Beltman of Alton, Mrs. John Rexwinkel of Orange City, John Beltman of Muscatine and William Beltman of Orange City.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 at the home and at 1:30 at the First Reformed Church Friday.
