Mrs. Lipps became well known here for the enterprise with which she operated her farm following the death of her husband, John Henry Lipps.
She was born July 31, 1875, at Chapel, W. Va., and married Lipps there in 1900. Her maiden name was Bender.
They came to a farm southwest of Bartlett in 1914.
Surviving are a son, John, Wichita; a grandson she reared, Stan Lipps, Bartlett; another grandson and two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Earl Mollahan, Chicago, and Mrs. Edward Smith, Santa Ana, Calif.
She belong to the Bartlett Methodist Church, the Evergreen Rebekah Lodge of Chetopa, the Royal Neighbors of America, and the Bartlett Home Demonstration Unit.
Funeral arrangements will be announced by the Miller Funeral Home.
