Located in Will Book #1, Page 61. County Clerk's office in Indiana, Indiana County, Pennsylvania, 15701.

WILL DATED: 16 JUNE 1817(the date it was written)

WILL PROVED: 26th day January 1818. (following the death of an individual, the executor presents the Will for “proving”. The Court or County Clerk certifies that the Will presented is the real Will of the deceased.

Letters Testimentary granted to Ebenezer Brady 7th Feb. 1818. A document issued by the Court Clerk which states the authority of the executor of an estate of a person who has died. It is issued during probate of the estate as soon as the court approves the appointment of the executor named in the will and the executor's files a security bond if one is necessary.

INFORMATION PROVIDED PROVES THAT JAMES DIED BEFORE THE 26TH OF JANUARY, 1818.
