Harold T. Beamer, 82, of Messiah Village, died Tuesday, May 27, 2003 at the Village.

Mr. Beamer was born on May 5, 1921 in Tyrone, PA, a son of the late Jesse and Adeline Price Beamer.

He was a member of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church of Mechanicsburg
and served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Portunis in the Philippine Islands during World War II. He was a foreman at the U.S. Naval Supply Depot and retired in 1977.
He was also a member of the Mechanicsburg VFW and the American Legion Post.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Mary Alice; daughter, Arletta; a grandson Scott ;
a granddaughter, Kristin; two great grandchildren, Justine and Quinn; one sister Katherine; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Paul of Tyrone, Charles of Akron, OH, Kenneth of Mechanicsburg, and a sister Gertrude of Tryone.

Funeral services will be held at10:30 a.m. Saturday at Malpezzi Funeral Home, 8 Market Plaza Way, Mechanicsburg. Burial will be in Mechanicsburg Cemetery.
There will be a viewing from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
