Jesse Beamer, 88, of Tyrone RD 3, Bald Eagle, died yesterday at the Tyrone Hospital after a lengthy illness.

He was born September 10, 1892 in Bald Eagle, the son of W. G. and Tamer (Gardner) Beamer. On May 25, 1912, in Tyrone, he was married to Adaline Price.

He is survived by his wife, four sons and one daughter, Paul W., of Tyrone RD 3; Charles, of Akron, Ohio; Harold, of Mechanicsburg; Kenneth, of Mechanicsburg and Mrs. Kathryn Liner, of Port Matilda. One daughter, Gertrude, preceded him in death; 17 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren also survive. He was the last of his immediate family.

He was a member of the Bald Eagle Christian and Missionary Alliance Church and a member of the National Morse Telegraph Club, Inc. He retired on November 15m 1960 as an Engineer for Baltimore and Ohio Railroad with 39½ years of service.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Derman Funeral Home with Rev. D.Z. Lewis officiating. Interment will be at Bald Eagle Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.
