Douglas "Doug" Norman Jessup, Jr., 67, husband of Maureen Sialiano Jessup of Mt. Pleasant, SC passed away on March 9, 2010.
The relatives and friends of Doug Jessup, Jr. are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, March 13, 2010 in Stella Maris Catholic Church at 11:30 a.m. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL on Friday, March 12, 2010 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.
Doug was born, April 2, 1942 in New York City, New York, son of the late Douglas Norman Jessup, Sr. and Rita Snyder Jessup. He retired from the Yorktown Heights Police Department in 1990 as a Detective Sergeant. Doug was a former member of the Elks Club of Yorktown Heights, NY and a member of the Fraternal Order of Police Officers. He attended Stella Maris Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife, Maureen S. Jessup of Mt. Pleasant, SC; five children, Michael Douglas Jessup of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Douglas Charles Jessup of Peekskill, NY, Kelly Ann Stevens of Poughquag, NY, Kenneth Jessup of Cortlandt Manor, NY and Theresa Lynn Bonnetti of Fishkill, NY: and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Jessup.
The family requests that memorials be made to the Charleston Animal Society, 2455 Remount Road, North Charleston, SC 29406 or Pet Helpers, 1447 Folly Road, James Island, SC 29412.
