Mayme Pozzi, 92, of Rockford passed away Sunday, Sept. 21, 2008, in Alpine Fireside. Born Sept. 22, 1915, in Rockford, daughter of James and Marie Cassioppi. Married Victor A. Pozzi on June 20 1937; he died May 29 1994.
Member of Holy Family, Mauh-na-tee-see Country Club and Catholic Order of Foresters.
Survivors include James (Barb) Pozzi of Colorado, Tom (Kathy) Pozzi of Rockford; grandchildren, Lori Davis, Linda (Brent) Dawkins, Lisa (Tony) Kriz, Michael (Alanna) Pozzi, all of Colorado, Michelle Pozzi and Matthew (Katie) Pozzi of Rockford; eight great-grand-children; sisters-in-law, Leatrice Cassioppi, Thenora Cassioppi and Frances Pozzi; and brother-in-law, Ernie Dudley. Predeceased by husband, Victor; brothers, Benny and Frank Cassioppi; sisters, Mary Cataine, Katherine Maggio, Corrina Cacciatore, Leona Vincent and Nelle Liebovich.
Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 25, in Holy Family Church, with visitation from 9 a.m. to time of service; Father Randy Fronek will officiate.
Burial in Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Alzheimer's Association.
