Jacqueline Callaway, known to family and friends as "Jac", was the daughter of Randall Raford Callaway and Clara Dasher. She was one of 5 children born to the couple before Clara's untimely death in 1929 when Jac was only 5 years of age. Her grandmother, Nancy Yeomans Callaway, was living with the family in 1930, and was likely caring for the 5 children, despite her age of 75. Nancy had lost her husband in 1922. Randall married Letha Bell Blocker around 1930, so Jac's stepmother raised her for most of her childhood. In addition to Jac's 4 siblings, she had 6 half siblings.

Jac married Warnell Jenkins, son of John William (Will) Jenkins and Maude Sapp, around 1940. He was one of 10 children. Jac and Warnell had 6 children: Clara Nell, Karon, Mary Fay, Sandra Dale, William Randall (Randy), and Joseph Warnell (Joey).
